Author Guidelines

The following is a manuscript writing template submitted to the STAI Al-Ma'arif Way Kanan Journal. The making of the template aims to make it easier for the writer and uniform perception of the writing format used. Text can be copied and pasted into this template so that the writer no longer has difficulty adjusting to the intended writing format.

 

WRITING GUIDE

Manuscripts sent in the form of scientific research in the field of Basic Education which includes studies of Curriculum Design in MI / SD, Learning (Mathematics, Science, Social Sciences, Citizenship, English, Indonesian, Islamic Education, Arts and local content) in MI / SD , Media Tools and Educational Viewer in Learning in MI / SD, Learning Strategies in MI / SD, MI / SD Teacher Competency. Manuscripts typed in MS Word format on A4 paper, page numbers 9-16 including tables and figures, neatly typed in Time New Roman 11, type 1.5 spaces with a top margin of 3 cm, a bottom margin of 2.5 cm, a right margin of 2.5 cm and left margin of 3.5 cm.   1. TITLE

Manuscript (presented briefly and written in Indonesian and English). The title of the article in Indonesian is no more than 14 words, while the title in English is a maximum of 12 words. The title is printed in capital letters in the middle with a font size of 14 points.

 

  1. AUTHOR'S NAME (Written complete without title)

If the author is more than one person, the second and next author's first name is abbreviated and full last name written. Under the author's name, write the name of the institution and the address of the institution. In the case of a manuscript written by the team, the editor is only related to the main author or the author whose name is listed first. The main author must include the correspondence address or e-mail address.

 

  1. ABSTRACT

Abstract written in English no more than 300 words using Time New Roman-10. The abstract contains the objectives, methods and research results written in 1 paragraph. Keywords consist of 3-5 keywords (separated semicolons; tap 1 time, 1 space 6 pt before after).

 

  1. INTRODUCTION

Contains background, problem formulation and research objectives.

Writing format is Time new Roman, 11pt, left and right, spacing 1 space, spacing between 6 pt, First line 0.5 cm and in one column.

 

  1. RESEARCH METHOD

Contains paragraphs about research design, data sources, data collection techniques, and data analysis that are actually carried out by researchers, with a length of 10-15% of the total length of the article.

Writing format is Time new Roman, 11pt, left and right, spacing 1 space, spacing between 6 pt, First line 0.5 cm and in one column.

 

  1. RESULTS AND DISCUSSION

Contains exposure to the results of research completed with discussion, can be made in an equal or separate section. If there are new discoveries, they should be firmly stated in the discussion. The name of the table, the contents of the table, pictures and their descriptions are written in Indonesian. The unit of measurement should follow the applicable international system. Length of exposure for this section is 40-60% of the article length.

Writing format is Time new Roman, 11pt, left and right, spacing 1 space, spacing between 6 pt, First line 0.5 cm and in one column.

 

  1. CONCLUSIONS AND SUGGESTIONS (Suggestions may not be available)

Contains conclusions formed in one paragraph. Conclusions should be answers to research questions, and not expressed in statistical sentences. Conclusions are written in full paragraphs, not point by point. Writing format is Time new Roman, 11pt, left and right, spacing 1 space, spacing between 6 pt, First line 0.5 cm and in one column.

 

  1. REFERENCES

Literature sources cited, whether in the form of scientific journals, theses, dissertations or other sources of literature must be included in the bibliography. Bibliography must contain reference libraries originating from primary sources (scientific journals and totaling a minimum of 80% of the total bibliography) published in the last 10 (ten) years. Each manuscript contains at least 10 (ten) references and their writings are arranged in alphabetical order.

 

References from Book

The year of publication is written after the author's name, ending with a period. The book title is written in italics, with capital letters at the beginning of each word, except conjunctions. Place of publication and name of the publisher separated by a colon (:).

References from Articles in a Journal

The author's name is written first followed by year and the title of the article is written in plain print, and capitalized at the beginning of each word. The name of the journal is italicized, and the initial letters of each word are capitalized except conjunctions. The last part in a row is written in what year journal number, what number (in brackets), and page number of the article.

References from Articles in Magazines or Newspapers

The author's name is written first, followed by the date, month and year (if any). The title of the article is written in plain print, and capitalized in every initial letter of the word, except conjunctions. The name of the magazine is in lowercase except the first letter of each word, and italicized. The page number is called at the end.

References from the Internet in the form of Articles from the Journal

The author's name is written as a reference from printed material, followed consecutively by year, the title of the article, the name of the journal (in italics) with information given in brackets (Online), volume and number, and ends with the address of the source of the reference accompanied by information when accessed, between brackets.

References from of a dissertation

The author's name is written first, followed by the year listed on the cover, the title of the thesis, the thesis or dissertation is written in italics followed by an unpublished dissertation statement, the name of the city where the college is, and the name of the faculty and name of the college.

References from Institutions Written on Behalf of the Institution

The name of the responsible institution is written first, followed by the year, the title of the article in italics, the name of the place of publication, and the name of the institution responsible for the publication of the article.
